The carbide-tipped cutter is designed to cut wood and wood related products in harsh conditions.
The Chain-Sert chain fits all commercial saws. No special bars are needed. As with all saw chain purchases, make sure to check the gauge of our drivers to meet your bar size.
Chain-Serts are designed to be field replaceable with a self-locking taper. The saw blade or chain does not need to be removed completely, just loosened.
Replacing a Chain-Sert cutter takes under 5 seconds.
Special tools are not needed. A blunt instrument i.e. hammer would be helpful in tapping off a dulled tooth.
Remove dull cutter and replace with a new cutter.
It is not recommended. Each cutter is precision ground the same angle with a radiused diamond wheel. We offer re-sharpening services for cutters that are intact with the carbide tips. If the full chisel tip is broken, we can re-sharpen to a semi-chisel.
Chain-Serts has a patent-pending safety system that keeps the tooth in place when the chain is tightened for use. As with all saw chain use, always follow safety guidelines and wear protective clothing when using cutting products.
Presently we are manufacturing a ¾” pitch, .122 gage, carbide-tipped and full-chisel cutter. We will be offering other pitches and gauges of saw chain in the near future. Please keep checking back.
Tests have shown Chain-Serts to cut as fast or faster than standard commercial
cutters.
Chain-Serts and SawNserts carbide-tipped teeth are primarily designed for cutting wood in harsh conditions such as mud and ice. Diamond cutters are the only type cutters that can cut stone and concrete. This is a product line we intend to offer in the future.
The primary purpose for the round blades and the saw chain is for wood cutting applications. The round blades we currently have available are ideal for stump cutting and chop saws. We intend to introduce these round blades to the market in late 2010. The ¾” saw chain we are currently manufacturing for sale is utilized on firewood processors, landing saws, feller bunchers, and mechanized harvesters.
